{Carriage Return} is a postal exchange of typewriter drawings between Hilary Judd and Lucy May Schofield. They have been corresponding, solely by typewritten means, since 2018 between Manchester and the remote Northumbrian countryside.

The project celebrates the limitations of the typewriters mechanisms; a love of the noisy click/clack, the miss hits and mistakes. Come and make a drawing, write a sonnet or add to our rolling news feed!
