Maria Panagiotidi

I have been fascinated with the photography since I was a child but only found the courage to try street photography about 6 months ago. Now my camera is a part of me and I shoot all the time.

My passion is photographing people and their environments. I love roaming the streets and looking for fleeting moments and hidden beauty. I'm drawn to reflections, shadows, and unusual textures. By applying abstraction, I focus on the idea of ‘public spaces’ and people's behaviours and interactions within those spaces. I draw my inspiration from cinema and painting, especially impressionism.

When not taking photos, I work as a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Salford.
