Simone Collins graduated from Salford University in 2017 with a BA Hons in Visual Arts. She’s a sculptor who also incorporates photography and print into her art practice. She’s always had an immense amount of curiosity about life, how we live, and then die. Ever since she was a young child she’d constantly think deeply about the true meaning of life and death.
Her sculptures express this by using colour, different forms of shape, lighting and shadows. Most of the bright vibrant colours in her work show how beautiful life is while the delicateness of the sculptures is broken easily just like life. The different lighting and dark shadows reflect death.
